Doughnuts & Deadlifts has always been a brand that gives back. From using our platform to raise awareness, to financial contributions and donations, philanthropy has always been at the forefront of our business model. We decided to invite our following to help us give back for the month of December, as we are far stronger in numbers. We are going to be giving up 20% of our income for the final month of the year, meaning we are giving all of you 10% off to incentivize you to support us, then we are donating 10% of our total sales to four different nonprofits, based on how you shop.
My team & I have hand selected the four organizations to work with in the month of December in hopes to raise both awareness and funding for their respective missions. All four causes are near and dear to the heart of DNDL, as we have always strived to serve underserved and underrepresented populations. Nonprofit organizations survive solely on the goodness of people in order to carry out their work, so we are giving you the opportunity to serve the population that is nearest and dearest to your own heart.
How You Get 10% Off Your Sale
We are extending four different 10% off codes to every single customer for the month of December. There is no limit to how many times the codes can be used or how many purchases a single person can make. There are zero product restrictions. Every single order you make through our website qualifies for 10% off with a code, no strings attached.
How You Give 10% Of Your Sale
The code you enter will dictate which charity gets 10% of your sale. At the end of the month, we will tally up how much money each code/cause made via sales, then donate 10% of the total sales to the respective nonprofit organization. So, for example, if the “reduce the stigma” code does $30,000 in sales, we are donating $3,000 to This Is My Brave.
The Best Part
I have decided to turn this into a friendly competition with my entire team. On top of being a team of 12 at our headquarters, we work with over 20 sponsored athletes and brand ambassadors, who have each attached themselves to the cause closest to home, thus forming four teams. They will be working both individually and together to promote their organization, its cause, and its code. The team whose code raises the most money in December will receive the winning prize: their donation will be personally matched by me.
There are so many causes that are close to my heart, so many underserved populations, so many environmental issues. Narrowing it down to four causes was extremely difficult and took a lot of thought. We believe that the four organizations ultimately chosen give hope & a voice to populations in need. Below you will find the selections, along with a description of their mission, their website, & their associated code for the month of December. If you are having a hard time choosing, watch some of the stories on their respective websites to feel which cause impacts you the most.
Reduce the Stigma with This is My Brave
This Is My Brave shines a light on mental illness to end stigma, one person at a time, one story at a time. The organization highlights the success stories of thriving individuals who suffer from mental illness. Their success stories are told through a variety of art forms, particularly poetry & music, in front of a live audience. Through sharing experiences, This Is My Brave strives to create hope & community. Every time a story is shared, stigma is broken down.

End the Water Crisis with Charity Water
The Charity Water mission is simple: they believe they can end the water crisis in this lifetime. One in ten humans lacks access to clean water & Charity Water strives to change that through local partners, sustainable projects, & transparency on the status of every project. Another amazing thing about the organization is that 100% of donations bring clean water to people in need; every bit of their operating costs are covered by private donors. Charity Water has funded just under 30,000 water projects for nearly 8.5 million people in 26 countries around the world.

Give Ability to Pets with Disabilities
Pets with Disabilities gives a voice to disabled animals, dogs in particular. The organization offers a wide range of assistance, including education, support, rescue, shelter, and wheelchair assistance. The founders experienced a tragic accident, leaving their new rescue puppy paralyzed in a wheelchair. Pets with Disabilities was founded on the commitment to a disabled animal with special needs, and that commitment spread to other disabled animals in shelters who were not being given homes due to their needs. Since then, the founders have dedicated their lives to rescuing animals and educating owners on caring for their disabled pets.
